A friend of mine let me borrow a book called "The Mothman Prophecies" by John Keel. This book contains witness accounts of a creature supposedly all black, 7 foot tall, featherless, with wings with a span of 10 feet. They have been known to fly silently without even moving its wings. The author himself is a researcher and investigator of phenomenal and unusual things. The creature is/was seen most frequently in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. It is kinda interesting if you like unnatural, weird things. The author also ties the Mothman to UFO sightings, and other weird occurrences. I usually don't find things like that interesting, but this caught my attention.

I found a web site. I personally don't like it, but you can look if you want. www.mothmanlives.com/indexFRAME.htmlBy the way, this is just another of Sara's creepy interests. No major attention is needed. But compliments would be nice. ^^

The author of the book was also studying the UFO occurences in West Virginia.
Oh! I almost forgot! There was a study of Native American settlements, where they would record how many artifacts from Native Americans were found everywhere in the U.S. But there was a blank spot... west virginia. Indians steered clear of that particular area for some reason. I found that odd.

Those people don't know what they're talking about,then... The Kanawha river was named in Indian language as 'river of white stone' and the Shenandoa(it's not spelled correctly) was called 'daughter of the stars.'
Why,the very area that we live in,Buckhannon, was named after an Indian. Native Americans are a HUGE part of our culture...

West Virginia was one of their BEST hunting grounds...That's probably why.

something even more creepy is that wherever he is for some odd reason that place gets destroyed somehow... GOVERNMENT COVER UP!!!! Ever heard of mossman? He's a camp Katooga legend.
Long ago when the owners of the campground still lived, a merchant fell in love with their daughter, but the father disliked the merchant so he rigged the merchant's wagon to break. Unbeknownst to them both the daughter had snuck on the wagon and when the wagon broke sending the merchant and daughter over the cliff the merchant didn't die because he landed in some moss. the daughter landed on some rock and died on impact. so up to his wagon he climed with the daughter on his back. every now and then he'd get cut and moss would get into his blood flow. soon he was covered in moss. when he went to the owner's cabin (the foundation is still there!) the owner thought he was a monster and his wife died of fright. the owner tried to kill the merchant but they ended up wrestling for control of the gun. but accidentally the gun went off killing the ownerand the merchant stood up, walked over to the rocking chair sat down and began to sob as he rocked for days. sometimes you can hear the creaking of the chair in the middle of the night sometimes you see mossman himself running through the woods...
