Chapter I
End of Beginnings
Siegfried walked down the street to his school. Oh boy... It's those freaks again... what do they want now? Their butts kicked? He thought as he saw the usual thugs that attempted to beat him up once a week.
“Stop right there Siegfried!”
“Yeah! We wanna have a word wit' ya!”
“I thought we were going to beat him up!”
“We are!”
The three so-called gangsters fell to quarreling amongst themselves and never noticed Siegfried walk by.
“Losers.” Siegfried muttered under his breath as he watched the three thugs beat each other mercilessly to a pulp. *Rrrriiiingg!!!* “Crap!!! the bell!!!” he yelled as he bolted for the door only for it to slam into his face. “Ow...” Siegfried gasped before he fell to the ground unconscious from the blow...
*
Siegfried sat up groggily. “Where am I? What is this place.” he said as he looked at his surroundings. “This isn't my school.”
Siegfried was in a cave and saw his reflection in a mirror that just happened to appear there. He had a horn. “OH- MEIN GOTT!!!” he exclaimed switching to German. He looked at his arms, his right one had red and black scales. He looked at his hair in the mirror. It was blood red with a black streak through it. His eyes were black and had a green glow around him.
“Ah... I see the prince of Demons has returned to his tomb.” said a graceful voice behind Siegfried.
Siegfried whirled to face whoever was talking to him. It was a boy his age with long blond hair, blue eyes, a slender frame, and a malicious grin.
“Who are you?” Siegfried asked scathingly while positioning himself so he would have the best chance to escape if he needed to.
“I suppose you should know your counterpart's name. I am Syrom, prince of Angels. But the real question here is do you know your real name?” the boy said malevolently.
“Yes, Siegfried.”
“No, not you mortal name, but your immortal name in the language of demons.”
“No.”
“Rys'haaj, that is your true name.”
“Rys'haaj?”
“Yes. In here you are safe, but outside this cave I can attack you and magic doesn't interfere. So learn what you can from the scrolls your predecessors left for you to learn.” and with that the mysterious boy left without a trace.
“Scrolls, eh? Well time to get down to business I guess.” and Siegfried sat and studied...
*
Siegfried opened his eyes and realized he was in the school infirmary. “Ugh... what happened?” he said questioningly as he tried to sit up, only to be shoved back down by a strong yet gentle hand.
“You shouldn't do that.” whispered a serene feminine voice. Siegfried looked up. It was that chick who was crazy about him, Marcia. Suddenly he had the feeling that he hadn't been put into the patient robes by male doctors.
“Oh no... You didn't did you?” Siegfried asked, his face turning pale.
It wasn't that Marcia wasn't attractive, far from, in fact she was the most gorgeous girl in school, but the fact that she was overactive and had an insane crush on Siegfried made her a nuisance and an eyesore.
“Well, no one else was helping you.” she said as she put her hands on her hips and got in Siegfried's face, revealing even more of a scarcely covered bosom.
Siegfried's face turned a bright red as he closed his eyes.
“This is all a dream, this is all a dream, all ein scheusslich traum.” he said to himself.
“Then it must be a very good dream.” Marcia said sweetly as she hugged him and kissed him lightly on the forehead...
Chapter II
Beginning of Ends
Siegfried awoke in the infirmary again. Cautiously, he opened his eyes just enough to see and saw that Marcia wasn't in sight. Which meant she was liable to be hidden. Slowly, he got up off the bed and dressed himself. “So far so good.” he whispered.
“About time you woke up slacker!” a nasally voice called.
“Not him!” Siegfried turned just in time to get a chess board shoved in his face. “Okay, which style this time?”
“What? You mean you don't see it?”
“See what Aaron?”
“The outline of an angel and a devilish being!”
Siegfried stared closely at the chess board. “OH- MEINN GOTT!” he exclaimed. “The demon looks like me.”
Aaron looked at the chess board and cleaned his glasses, then he looked again. “Wow, you're right. Siegfried?”
Siegfried lay on the ground comatose.
Aaron sighed and shrugged his shoulders. “Figures.”
*
Siegfried's eyes shot open. Deja vu! He thought as he looked around. No one was there. “Ok now I'll just sneak into class.” he whispered while walking toward the door. Then he saw his reflection in the window. He had one horn on the side of his head “OH- MEINN GOTT!!!” he roared pointing at his reflection. Then he looked at his right arm, there were no scales. “Oh maybe my reflection shows that I really am a demon.”
“What?” Marcia had just come to check on him. He looked at her then turned to the window and bolted, it was a thirty foot drop, but he would survive. He leaped through and landed rolling on the ground.
“Ow. Gotta keep going.” he said as he got up and ran three steps then ran into a thin male figure.
“Good to see you again, Rys'haaj.” the boy said coldly.
“So... so it wasn't a dream?”
“No, and I told you I would come and attack you if I got the chance so show me what you learned!” the boy, Syrom, raised his hand and he changed. He grew taller, his hair turned snow white as did his eyes, he grew wings, and he grew more muscled. “Change into your true form.”
Without thinking Siegfried bolted towards Syrom and slammed his fist into Syrom's gut. “Take that punk!” he roared as he bolted for his house.
Something started to burn Siegfried's back and he saw a beam of white light go through his chest.
“That was the Angelus bolt. Don't make me use it again. Change and fight.”
Instincts created by Siegfried's predecessors kicked in and Siegfried changed into Rys'haaj. He grew taller, his blue eyes turned black with a green glow, his brown hair turned red with a black streak, he grew a horn, and his right arm grew scales. He charged Syrom and roared, “Roaring Bolt!” as he leveled his finger tips like a gun and recoiled his hand sending a bolt of pure energy through Syrom.
Syrom gasped and fell to the ground as he clutched his chest. “How? How are you so powerful already?” he gasped.
“Because, I like living.” Rys'haaj said coldly. “I'll let you live only because I do not want our fun to end quite yet.” and with that Rys'haaj changed back into Siegfried...
Chapter III
The Haven
Siegfried walked toward the school and was about to open the door when it swung open and Marcia stood there with her fists on her hips.
“What was that?” she asked sternly.
“What was what?” Siegfried asked trying to make her think nothing had happened. He didn't succeed.
Marcia took out a chain with a wristlet on one end and clamped it around Siegfried's left wrist. “Now If you try any stupid stunts I'll just pull you back.” She said smiling.
“Oh... goody...” Siegfried said in a monotone as he slouched forward...
*
“Sir, it was a success, the prince of demons has realized himself and has even changed of his own will. I put the sign of the protected on him, shall I tell him of The Haven?” a feminine voice said from the shadows of the room that, Kir'ari, the leader of the Fallen stood in.
Kir'ari was a powerfully built man, his face was scarred, his muscles bulged underneath his clothes, he had tanned skin, and black hair. “Yes. Tell him so he can flee there if he needs help.” he said in a gruff voice.
“As you will.” the female said before she departed her lord's inner sanctum...
*
“Siegfried?” Marcia said concernedly as she saw him stumble, clutch his chest, and gasp in pain, “Are you okay?”
“Yes.” Siegfried said as he breathed heavily.
“No you're not. You're going to The Haven to get proper medical attention for demons.”
“Ok sure I'll go to the infirmary but I won't– what? How did you know?” Siegfried gaped as he came to the realization that Marcia had just called him a demon.
“I always knew Prince Rys'haaj, and no matter what you say you're going to The Haven.” Marcia stated as she grew taller and sprouted black angel's wings.
Siegfried's eyes bulged and he passed out. Marcia picked him up and carried him to The Haven...
*
The Haven was a wondrous place filled with people who have no where to go, because of the Angels. Its buildings were larger than life, its markets bustling with life, but there is a dark side, in the cover of night the citizens gather underground to train for the upcoming battle between the Angels and the Demons. The Fallen, although they are Angels, are inhabitants as well, for they are outcasts in the Angelic society. This is what Siegfried learned when he awoke in Marcia's strong arms.
“We are almost there.” Marcia said gently. It was then that Siegfried noticed how she held him. His face to her breast. After realizing that now she was no longer annoying, but the exact opposite, he decided he liked this position, but it was getting hard to breath.
Gently Marcia touched down on the ground just outside The Haven's doors. “We have a new entrant. Rys'haaj, the Prince himself.” she called out to the doors. The doors were one-hundred feet tall, gold embossed, and red wood.
The doors seemed to take a life of their own as faces grew out of them. “You may pass.” the face said.
Siegfried stood there with his mouth hanging open and wide-eyed with disbelief.
“Oh it's real all right.” Marcia said while she switched to her Human form.
Ta-da!!! what'cha think?
