I have alot so brace thine self. Ill just update this one rather than add more, I have more that are not typed up yet. Ive added more poetry, and i changed the title functions...they are now in quotes.
“True Thoughts”
Oh, to you I owe
The extent to which is unknown.
I thought I knew but oh so wrong
your true intent, misinterpreted for so long.
Now that I do know
I want to hold you close
It is all that I wish to show
I don't want to be let loose.
Holding you close becomes memory
Warmth against warmth here is it
A distant memory left in sensory
A problem made I hope to keep, longer just a bit.
“Tux”
Out of nowhere you walk
a small black penguin on a snow bank
full of emotion yet you don't talk
although small your armor's like a tank.
Fictional or non-fiction is the question not,
what matters is your not to be bought
you made an impression,,so Linus thought
for you as his mascot he fought.
You can be turned on daily with ease
people use you with whatever they please
some will set sail to the high seas
your appearance brings some to their knees.
“Kirby”
I lost you ever so long ago
you bolted for the bushes, your true home
we searched as long as we could but built you a tome
Kirby know that we never intended for you to go.
You ran for freedom left our crust container
we couldn't stay any longer, for our own safety
we fled for our own protection, you left me feeling hasty
you broke free of your shackle, ran from your restrainer.
I hope you forgive, I should have checked
we let you out but not for you to go
you ran free at top sped my was that long ago
without you, Kirby, my life has wrecked.
“Best Friend”
You existed only in my head
I thought you were a friend
you took my stuff and I still lend
my friend or so you said.
Long ago I left you for anew
they greeted me fine, and I thought you were mine
concerned with yourself, your plans all thine,
you were not to be one of the few.
Again I left you, this time to be replaced
you entered kindly, you entered my life, to you I owe
to you I actually are, even if you tap my toe
this time I will accept and to you I embraced.
“Rebuilding Bridge”
In the south a great bridge pans a lake
for millions of commuters it is to work
riding a bike an enthusiast packs lunches with a spork
they make the drive daily for the sake.
Now you lay in ruins, destroyed by nature
people try to escape but you do not cooperate
they blame nature, the destruction they hate
your purpose worthless, you still stand pure.
Upon rebuilding people forgive, your purpose clear
the bridge provides an escape
the cars, the people, the boats ah its good to hear
the bridge it seems is another bridge to freedom.
“First Love”
You entered slowly taking time
I thought this as crazy, I thought of love
apparently I don't speak left like a misery mime
I thought you would fit like a glove.
When your around all I do is blush
my heart has turned to murky mush
my speech garbled, my thoughts slush
I know now you were my first crush.
Long ago you ripped my heart
a cold day never forgotten, left alone
I never told of this, my thoughts a dark tone
my mouth soured, the taste of a tart.
“Year 'Round Nature”
As summer becomes winter
life calms and colors fade
the bears into their caves they enter
snow starts, snowmen made.
Animals flee, wanting warm homes
the weather lets up and life begins
the surroundings of water, metal and tins
but in the end their house is but a tome.
The cold dissipates and spring starts
with the season brings construction
to the wildlife, plants, and nature it brings destruction
for this season all will become shopping marts.
“Hidden Past”
Theres a different side to people that many never see.
A dark and hidden past
A memory that won't last
A pair that sails at half-mast
A scene that fails fast.
Everyone has their deep dark secrets, even me.
It's not that we have them its how we deal
afterwards our fate is to decide do we reveal?
If were not careful, our lives they will steal
do we hide, do we tell we look for a way to heal.
“Son of Sam”
The summer of Nineteen Seventy-Seven
lives were brought to an end
their life, he tried to enlighten
But this is not the Son of Sam
of whom I refer, for my Son of Sam
was not born till ten years after
he did not know what the events were.
Born to a military recruit
a leader who one visited Beirut.
Uncle Sam cast his honor down
Upon his head he placed a crown.
